I’m back with more coverage on the NYFW and an insight on upcoming fashion trends. I have loved each second so far here, at New York fashion week. The NYFWSS16 collection of day 4,5,6 were jaw dropping.
Let me start off with Jason Wu and his collection. If you love colorful floral prints then this collection is basically for you. The collection not only has amazing color palettes but also the mixture of designs brings out the spring vibrancy. I specifically loved this dress. Plus, I adored the makeup and red bold lips are so in fashion these days!
Zimmermann launched the Spring Summer’ 16 ready to wear collection and I knew that this is what I want in my wardrobe, now. It has sleek and grace practically laced over the entire collection. It is casual but fashionable, plus, the entire collection looks good with any other color tone you would like to mix and match with.
Alexander Wang is a respectable name in the fashion industry and surely lives up to it. I personally found the collection to be a blend of chic and casual. It conveyed the right tone of being delicate but fierce. The mix of bold and light colors was plausible because it is hard to pull of contrasting colors with different shades. Son jung wan collection of spring summer’16 clothes had a very glittery feel to it. I really appreciate the glam focus on outfits. The glittery details of each outfit was something that I loved the most and not many designers play with low tone colors and glitter at the same time so this collection was certainly unique.Desigual had a funky collection showcased in the New York Fashion week by mixing art with everyday outfits. I loved the concept and how this was executed. The bright colors and the geometric designs on the outfits is what brought happiness to the gloomy day in New York. The brand is known for bringing out colors and lively feel in fashion shows and proved no wrong in NYFW as well.Marissa Webb had a collection in low color tones and emphasis more on casual designs. I found the outfits perfect for when you have important meetings or events to attend that require a bit of sober dressing. It spoke to me in terms of being “boss”, if I may put it. The patterns seemed highly calculated yet a good addition in the wardrobe. Prabal Gurung showcased a very colorful collection that reminded me much of open canvas and splashes of color. It played with bright colors on plain colored canvas and that is what I loved the most. It was a blend of being casual but also providing the chirpiness that often spring has to offer.
This is it for today! I hope to see you ladies soon with more from the world of fashion. Have a great day!
