Our toddler fashion nina has been MIA for a few weeks so we decided to take some pictures around the house. She had actually been playing in this outfit all day. What’s better then a warm and comfy polka dot sweater and a pink kitty cat scarf on a day filled with rain & snow. Serena was excited to see her first snow fall of this season, she actually spent a good part of the day playing in the snow outside with her dad and then warmed up by the fireplace with some hot chocolate.
It is fascinating to see how our little fashionista is evolving her style & personality. She is confident and has a heart of gold. Anytime we are in a gathering she is the first one to introduce herself to other kids. She loves being a girly girl with her tiara, headbands and tiny bangles and then other times she enjoys being a rock star. I love her comments when I get her ready. For example when I did this quick updo she told me ‘thanks mama I look like a super duper rock-star’!
Toddler hair tip – a lot of you have asked about Serena’s and my hair routine, so I wanted to share some tips:
1. I like using organic mustard oil once a week in her hair (leave it on for a couple of hours before taking a bath and then wash it out with regular shampoo).
2. I also condition her hair once a month by applying a combination of olive oil, egg and some yogurt to her scalp for one hour. This makes her hair super soft and shiny.
3. In the winter her hair gets super tangled so I always brush her hair before giving her a bath, this significantly reduces tangles and hair breakage after the shower.
Thank you for reading & have a great week!
