Happy Hump Day! If you live on the East Coast then you know that winter is slowly creeping up on us, it has been freezing and windy so we decided to take a break from this weather and take a mini family vacation. Later today we will be leaving for a short trip to another state. This was a very last minute trip but I am so glad we are doing it. After my return from Pakistan first I got sick and then Serena. So this mini vacation is to relax and spend some quality time with each other and of course we will find time to take some pictures & share our memories with you.
About the post – I have a confession; growing up I was not really a big fan of plaid but it is something that has slowly grown on me. I think part of the reason is my love for all things feminine, lacy, sheer and so on while plaid has somewhat masculine feel to it. Over time plaid has grown on me because its warm & cozy feel. I loved this particular skirt because it was short, structured and had a well defined print. In order to create “drama” in this look I opted for a cobalt blue shirt with a bright red textured jacket.
I kept the rest of the look neutral by adding some dark blue wedges, gray leggings and my good old faithful Louis Vuitton bag. I am off to finish packing and will talk to you all soon from the West Side!
