Hi Everyone –
I am back from Aruba and this time we were not traveling alone. We actually took some Teri Jon Dresses on our Aruba trip (still working on a Aruba travel review video.) Needless to say the trip was amazing and the scenic beaches and historic locations were breathtakingly beautiful and serene. Amongst the calm beaches and white sand there was one happy occasion that popped up everywhere and it was beach weddings.
There were so many happy couples and wonderful families coming together for celebrations. Even at night every restaurant we headed too had at least couple of large families there celebrating someone’s union. I was so glad that right before I left I decided to do something a little bit different and rather then packing the usual blog clothes I decided to do a post about what to wear to a summer or beach wedding because it is kind of hard, even if you are a bride, bridesmaid or a guest in a wedding. I went through this two years back when I had to attend a friends wedding in Dominican Republic. Even if it is not a beach wedding sometimes it is challenging to find clothes for an outdoor summer wedding.
First here are my tips if you are attending an outdoor summer or beach wedding:
1. Wear light & breathable fabrics.
2. Don’t forget Sun and Bug Protection.
3. Stay away from liquid makeup it will melt.
4. No heels needed. Pick a nice pair of flats.
5. A handy-dandy fan that can fit in your clutch might not be a bad idea.
I have added my picks for summer weddings under the post but this Teri Jon dress was by far my favorite, it is almost like a fairy tale dress. I cannot tell you how many times I twirled around in my dressing room and then even on the beach! The dress is so feminine and the tea-length makes it a timeless classic dress. It is perfect for a wedding, engagement party, brunch, or bridal shower type affair.
Don’t forget to let me know if you loved it as much as I did, also feel free to add any summer or beach wedding tips that you might have.
